Research Abstract

Main results obtained in this study are as follows :
1.The measurement of humidity and temperature distributionin case of heat transferred with moisture diffusion.
Firstly the improvement of insulating performance of wall and floor in laboratory room has been done for better measurement accuracy. On the other hand, the local hygro-meter was developed after various consideration and surveys. By employing this meter, humidity distribution was measured on the specimen constructed by piled cloths.
2.Comparison of thermal conductivity with moisture diffusion and without of it.
Effective thermal conductivity of cloth contained the water in its fibers, but moist air do not flow through it, is measured by unsteady probe method after the measurement of case 1.
3.Numerical analysis on a model that simulate the piled cloths.
To investigate or compare local behavior of water content that affect temperature distribution and thermal conductivity, numerical analysis applied to a simple model simulated piled cloths. It is recognized that the sticking of the water in the small gaps of fiber cause partial increase of conductivity.
