Research Abstract |
(1) The investigator drew up a table of 535 buildings of style Art Deco constructed at Paris in the 1920s and 1930s. The table includes the descriptions of building names. adresses. constructing years. architects, constructors. and characteristics of details. It will be a fundamental data of Art Deco architecture of Paris, The investigator also drew up a table of the same form of 72 buildings constructed at Paris in the 1900s and 1910s which would constitute the antecedents or roots of the architecture of style Art Deco. (2) In the course of the research work. the investigator found out an unknown architect named Jean Boucher who had carved his name on the wall of many buildings. It becomes clear now that at least 67 buildings designed by him from 1911 to 1932 have existed in Paris. But his career still remains unclear. and he is confused even in France with a famous contemporary sculptor of the same family and personal name. Only two facts become clear, namely that his title of architect is "architecte diplome de la Societe francaise des architectes (this fact probably means that he is an autodidact as architect). And that he is a doctor of laws exceptionally as architect. These research products above mentioned will be published successively from now on.
