Research Abstract

We characterized the genes (Dg2 and DgK) encoding an immunodominant antigen expressed specifically in larval stage of Dirofilaria immitis, and analyzed the function of promoter region of the gene. Microinjection study using Caenorhabditis elegans, the DgK might be expressed only in digestive tract of the nematode.
