Research Abstract |
This research is aimed to develop a training system for promoting instructional planning skills, by adding an evaluation and advising function to the instructional planning editor which has already been realized by the preceding study. It's necessary for beginners on instructional design to acquire the knowledge of teaching materials. Therefore, the function for objective analysis and error analysis are also realized on the system. First, the analysis of objectives was realized. It was enabled for the users to construct on the system the structual diagram of objectives, and to correspond on the system the instructional objectives to the textbook information. The results of the task is then evaluated by inspecting the contradiction between the diagram and the textbook appearance ordere. In the same way, the error analysis is also realized on the system. Secondly, the function to describe instructional plan was realized. Users must describe a plan in the series of a set which includes five elements of Matsuda's Instructional Activity Model. The plan was evaluated by the hulistic rules. Thirdly, the educational effect this system had was evaluated. The analysis on difference between data before improvement and after that revealed that the advice were effective. It was compared between the evaluations by expert teachers on instructional plan made under the condition whether evaluation and advice were given or not. This analysis also revealed that the advice were effective.
