Research Abstract |
1)Expression of sex hormone receptors in human articular chondrocytes We extracted human articular chondrocyte mRNA during joint surgey-Using RT-PCR method and Northern blotting method, we demonstrated the expressions of the estrogen, progesterone and androgen receptor gene. 2)Cytokine releases by estradiol in cultured human articular chondrocytes We added estadiol to the culture medium of cultured human articular chondrocytes and examined releases of IL-1, IL-4, IL6, TNFalpha and TGFbeta. We demonstrated estradiol increases IL-6 and TGFbeta releases.
