Research Abstract |
An auditory handicapped person is in the condition that auditory information such as a sound and a voice can't be received. As for them, auditory information in the various elements that information is made in the information processing lacks. Furthermore, The characteristics of the information processing by the sight recognition were examined by analyzing observation data. 1) Observation about the understanding of the information composed of the image of the television and the voice. Case 1. : When they watched a news on television. examination : Though a significance dose not collapse large, the mutuality's relations of the thing show a tendency of lacking as for the structure of the whole of the information. Case 2. : When they watched a commercial film on television. examination : There is some composition which is easy to appreciate. As for the most remarkable example, the things which is the center of the topic that is presented aftre the images of the whole to explain the conditions of the scene. 2) Observation about the difference when a voice language was translated into the sign language. examination : It is meaningless to substitute the shape of the sign language for all the voice languages. The meaning of the voice onaguage is grasped, and it must be composed again by using the special expression of the sign language. 3) Observation of the realations between the sound which comes out from the machine, and the operation behavior. examination : The condition of companion's FAX can be known by the difference in the sound which comes out from the receiver. But, an auditory handicapped person can't recognize the sound of the receiver. And, they acted in reliance on the message that is shown on the surface of the machine. Important consideration is that the sound of the receiver and the sound of the machine are seen with the eyes and it can know.
