極低温および強磁場下におけるカロリメトリーを用いた機能性材料の物性研究

Research Abstract

近年発見された鉄系超伝導体の研究を展開した。まず、LaFePOの熱容量を複数の磁場下で85mKの低温まで測定し、その超伝導に伴うピークを観測し、この超伝導が非BCS機構で説明されることを示した[Y.Kohama et al.,J.Phys.Soc.Jpn.,77,094715(2008)]。次に〜30Kという高い転移温度を誇るLaFeAsOについて、さまざまなFドープ量を持つ複数の試料の熱容量、磁化率、電気伝導度を系統的に測定した。熱容量と磁化率から、Fをドープしていないサンプルにおいて特徴的なスピン揺らぎの励起を観測し、5%ほどFをドープしたサンプルでその特徴的なスピン揺らぎの励起が大きくなっていろことを示した[Y.Kohama et al.,Phys.Rev.B,78,020512(R)(2008)]。そののち、60Tのパルスマグネットを用いて、5%ほどFをドープしたサンプルのH_<c2>およびホール抵抗を測定し、H_<c2>が最適ドープ領域のサンプルよりも数10%人きくなっていることを見出した[Y.Kohama et al.,Europhys.Lett,84,37005(2008)]。さらに、7つの試料について系統的なH_<c2>およびホール抵抗の測定を行い、マルチバンド超伝導体に特徴的なスピン揺らぎの効果をH_<c2>およびホール抵抗に見出した[Y.Kohama et al.,Phys.Rev.B79,144527(2009)]。そして、SrFe_2As_2という、同じ鉄系超伝導体のエピタキシャルフィルムサンプルについてのH_<c2>測定をパルス磁場下で行った。ここではH_<c2>の角度依存性のデータを50Tまで測定し、マルチバンド超伝導体の性質に端をなした、異常なH_<c2>の角度依存性を発見した[S.C.Baily et al.,Phys.Rev.Lett.,102,117004(2009)]。
このほかにも、磁場下で熱容量測定を用いて、水素を内包したフラーレンH_2@CH_<60>[Y.Kohama et al.,submitted to Phys.Rev.Lett.]や幾何学的フラストレーションを持つ磁性錯体K_<12>[(VO)_3(SbW_9O_<33>)_2]・15H_2O[Y.Kohama et al.,J.Solid State Chem.in press]、六角構造を持つ磁性グイマー化合物Ba_3Cr_2O_8[A.A.Aczel et al.,Phys.Rev.B79,100409(2009)]の性質も詳しく調べた。
