Research Abstract |
1.A Study on Strategies of Psychotherapeutic Helpings for the Bereaved Reminiscence as a psychotherapy was applied to 5 eldelies who experienced bereavements. The main findings ax as follows : (1)Reminiscence improves emotional stability and interpersonal relationships. (2)Reminiscence plays a role in helping to alleviate the depression and encouraging the reorganization of past experience. 2.A Study of the Factors Related to the Psychological Process of the Bereaved The survey about bereavement and psychological process of "acceptance of grief" was conducted with 246 undergraduate students and semi-structured interview was applied to some of them. The main results obtained are as follows : (1)Ninety percent of the students experienced bereavement. (2)Fifteen types of mental disorders (depression, Anxiety disorders, etc.) occurred as the grief responses of bereavement. But they tended to decrease after funerals. 3.A Study on Strategies of Psychotherapeutic Helpings for the Bereaved hit by the Earthquake In this study, a self-help group consisting of the bereaved hit by the earthquake was supported. The main findings are as follows : (1)Members naturally exchanged information and talked of their severe experiences with one another. (2)It takes much time for the bereaved to accept the grief of loss.
