Research Abstract

溶液中の化学反応に大きな影響を及ぼす溶媒/溶質相互作用の本質、とくに溶媒の極性の役割を明らかにし、かつ溶媒の極性を光でコントロールすることができれば、最終的に化学反応を光で制御する道が開ける。本研究では、広範に溶媒/溶質相互作用の本質を探ることを目的として、以下の項目1から3の研究を行った。
1)ミクロスコピックな視点から見た溶媒効果:アセトニトリル/四塩化炭素混合溶媒中のp-ニトロアニリンの3種の異なる溶媒和構造とその超高速解離、再結合ダイナミクスアセトニトリル/四塩化炭素混合溶媒中で、3つの異なるpNAの溶媒和構造、1:2型、1:1型、1:0型が存在することを、紫外吸収およびラマンスペクトルの特異値解析により明らかにした。
2)溶液中のレチナールの光異性化反応の溶媒効果
フェムト秒時間分解可視・紫外吸収分光を用いて、S2状態を経由した新しい異性化反応経路の存在を明らかにした。このS2状態が溶媒分子と水素結合を形成することが、レチナールの光異性化反応が顕著な溶媒効果示す理由であることを明らかにした。
3)溶媒誘起動的分極構造と振動位相緩和、化学反応速度
分子動力学と分子軌道計算を組み合わせた理論的研究により、「動的分極」モデルが溶液中のアセトン分子の振動位相緩和を良く説明することを明らかにした。
