Research Abstract |
The present study was designed to develop the new risk assessment system of the chemical substances in the environment by means of the CAT assay and the pharmacokinetic model consisting og six components such as blood-rich organs(brain, adrenal gland and bone marrow), blood-poor organs(hone and adipose tissue), kidney, liver and intestine. The CAT assay was available because of utilizing human cells and providing the valuable information on the mechanisms responsible for cell toxicity and carcinogenesis. The pharmacokinetic model was also considered to be an useful method to presume the concentration of drugs in the target organ and to evaluate the toxicity of unknown chemical substances.
