Research Abstract |
Developing creativity by interactive knowledge acquisition system using drawing function. This research aims the development of system which makes it possible to bring up children's creativity and expression, using sentences and pictures, and establishes the method which aim is to acquire the knowledge with pictures. In this year, we developed out system and experimented it to children. Our aim is especially to provide a educational system to children. So it is necessary for children to enjoy using the system. Then we adopt Rodari's method which extract children's interest by inserting estrangement to usual views. Structures of pictures is created automatically or manually.4 Pictures are presented consequently. For examples, a view of a classroom is described first. Some children are inserted in next picture. Third picture contains clean mechines. After children look them, they make stories. After this process, the system corresponds a sentence to a part of pictures. In experimentation, we could observe the many interesting children's stories. In addition, we build an interactive parody song generating system. This system enable children to make parody songs and play them. Previously, we only developed educational system which used natural language. Against them, we can provide a system with higher ability enough to extract children's rich creativity.
