| Research Abstract |
This research has 3 results as follows :
1.A new questionnaire survey on awareness of environmental issues was designed based on previous similar researches and those results and findings, and conducted by sending forward by mail to students and full-fledged member of society in both Japan and Korea. Questions in this survey to investigate such ideas that can be regarded as rationale to refuse positive attitude toward environmental issues consist of 12 items : "Natural tendency" (2), "Expectation to new next civilization "(3), "Alternative system", "Responsibility of management" (2), "Egoism" (2), "Egoism", "Hedonism", "So what else". The survey responses were analyzed from a inter-cultural viewpoint.
2.In order to expand the range of respondents, a questionnaire survey utilizing Internet and World Wide Web technology was designed and implemented. Web pages for this survey was written in both Japanese and English so that wide range of peoples could respond. These Web pages included summarized results of previous research to enhance visitor's senses on environmental issues.
3.A new approach to integrally handle environmental management problem, which is inevitably largely complex because of many relevant intrinsic factors, was developed. This approach utilized genetic algorithm in order to corporate environmental factors into consideration as well as other important factors : quality, delivery, cost.
