Research Abstract |
Recent developments of the Internet (World Wide Web) allows the integration of text, audio, still image, and video data. We have developed an integrated medical mulitimedia database system on demand, which includes the medical images and video using WWW web. A large mount of the medical resources are archived at the CD-ROM changer which has 100 CD-Rs (60GB). And this system has the techniques and tools for converting analog video into digital video (MPEG or MPEG2). This system offers an interactive and self-controlled way of learning, through the multimedia resources to the student at the their lecture rooms across local area networks. These medical multimedia resources are archived on the this system using HyperText Markup Language (HTML) forms, and we can easily management or retrieve these medical resources.
