Research Abstract |
The objectives of this research were three as follows. First. Analyze the evolution of trade, inward or outward EC's foreigne direct investment, and transition towards new stage of industrial structure, etc. Second. Analyze and link up following factors : M & A,restructuration, strategic alliance, relocation of factories, privatisation and new conditions of competition faced by large Euro-enterprises. Third. Examine implantation into peripheral countries of Euroenter-prises and impacts to EU economy and to Euroenterprise exerted by japanese or US multinationals. In this research, it became clear that after the mid-1980s, the world trade and the foreign direct investmend especially from large industrialized countries (in the triad) has remarkably grown or increased on the one hand, and that as the market unification of EC (1993) went on, strategic expansion and activation of business operations by american and japanese multinationals in the west Europe which accompanied various formes of M & A,alliances, joint ventures, outstanding penetrations into peripheral countries on the other hand. However, monopolistic enterprises in the public sectors or material industry which have aimed to acquire competitiveness in their home market, delayd their expansion to abroad. In addition to that, I worked out my research scheme, that is, a developping process of enterprise, as follows : each country enterprise * Euroenterprise = regional enterprise * Multiregional enterprise (they are managed on the pluriregional bases) * Global enterprise. Moreover, by means of the concept of euroenterprise = regional enterprise, I modeled a typology of business developement along which enterprises will, at first, go abroad and it will, last of all, reach to global enterprise. Among these two phases, it will be able to distinguishe four formes : uninational * multinational * multiregional * global.
