Research Abstract |
Monte Carlo simulations of QCD have strongly suggested that quark confinement mechanism in QCD is condensation of abelian monopoles after abelian projection. We investigated 1.(in)dependences of abelian projection in the confinement phenomena and 2.properties of the hadron interactions in the dual Ginzburg-Landau(dGL)theory. The first is Polyakov gauge and new interesting gauges showing abelian and monopole dominance as in the maxmally abelian gauge. The latter gauges are minimal abelian action gauge and minimal abelian monopole density gauge. The results of the simulations in those gauges suggest the monopole currents are responsible for the quark confinement. The second is the study of the potentials between hadrons in dGL theory. We show that potential between two staticmesons is short range Yukawa type and has no long range type such as van der Waa1s force. The dGL theory can be regarded as the base of hadron dynamics. We have to establish the continuum theory of the monopole action and the gauge independence of the quark confinement mechanism.
