Research Abstract |
We have developed the relativistic field theoretic treatment of the nuclear matter. The nuclear Schwinger-Dyson (NSD) formalism is presented for an application to nuclear atter. The NSD formalism consists of coupled Dyson equations of a nucleon and mesons. Since it includes meson self-energies in a non-perturbative way, higher order correlation beyond the Hartree-Fock approximation are taken into account. NSD formalism is one of the non-perturbative methods, it is considered to be suitable for strongly interacting system like nuclei. When we adopts the bare-vertex approximation, the NSD sum up the ring type diagrams, which stands for the particle-hole pair excitations. The NSD has been applied to many phenomena of nuclear matter. Studies are done on the effects of the ring diagrams in nuclear binding energy, incompressibility of nuclear matter, the optical(especially imaginary part) potentials, mean free path in nuclear matter, and quark condensation problem from nuclear side. We especially have developed the treatment of the meson propagator which do not include the unphysical components, while it is mixed in the traditional treatment. Further we have studied the renormalization method in finite density on the basis of the renormalization group method, by which we predicted the meson mass in nuclear matter. These research results are issued in 34 papers, 68 oral talks(including 5 international conference).
