Research Abstract |
1.Fifteen lymphoblastoid cell lines (LCLs) were established by infection of B95-8 Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) in human peripheral blood mononuclear cells. The frequencies of CD4 antigen-positive cells varied among 15 LCL_s(range 0% to 47%). 2.mRNA of CCR5 and CXCR4 was not expressed in 15 LCL_s. 3.One cell line which was expressed CD4 antigen in 90% cells was obtained by the magnetic beads. 4.HHV-6 could not infect 15 LCL_s, indicating that CD4 antigen is not receptor for HHV-6. HIV-1 could replicate in all 15 LCL_s regardless of frequencies of CD4 antigen-positive cells, Indicating that HIV-1 may infect LCL_s by using another receptor.
