Research Abstract |
In order to define the senescence (suppressor) gene locus involved in human endometriaI carcinogenesis on human chromosome 1 (HC-1), we introduced two kinds of the HC-1 which has deletions on q arm, one (del1-q) has interstitial deletion between q12-q31 and the other (GM1173) has almost complete deletion of q arm. Del-1q showed senscence-inducing activity but GM1173 did not. This result indicated the gene locus is carried on 1q31 to tel. Several subcromosomal transfferable fragments (STFs) addressed to certain regions of q31 to tel into HHUA cells. A STF harboring q31-41 had the activity. Following LOH study analyzing the cancer specimens by contiguous STS markers in the region determined by the STFs transfer suggested that the senescence gene locates within the region flanked by marker D1S225 and D1S459, on 1q41-42.
