Research Abstract |
The construction accuracy control of cable stayd bridge can be formulated as a multi-objective optimization. In this event, the number of objective functions useally becomes very large. The head investigator of this research project has suggested an efficient method, called the satisficing trade-off method, for solving such a problem with a great number of objective functions. One of main aims of this research is to decrease the burden of the decision maker in construction accuarcy control of cable stayd bridges by incorporating the satisficing trade-off method into the construction accuracy control systems with some devices of human interface. In the first year of the research term, the computer program of the satisficing trade-off method was built in the construction accuracy control system. Furthermore, the computer program of the exact trade-off method which makes the trade-off analysis much easier was accomplished. In the next year of the research term, the computer program of the exact trade-off method was built in the accuracy control systems. In addition, some devices for the human interface were made by visualizing the input-output interface so the decision maker can utilize the system very easily. Next, the system was applied to data of some real cable stayd bridges in order to be polished up from a practical viewpoint. Finally, it seems that we have established an accuracy control system for cable-stayd bridge with a sufficiently high degree of practical use.
