| Research Abstract |
正則変動性で特徴付けられる分布について研究した。具体的には、truncated moment ∫^x_ot^αμ(dt)が緩慢変動する分布、μ(x,∞)が正則変動する分布、及び、exponential tail をもつ分布の3種類である。いずれも確率論に於いて、主に極限定理と関連して現われる分布である。slowly varying truncated moment をもつ分布と regularly varying tail をもつ分布に対しては、Mellin-Stieltjes convolution (MS-convolution と書く。確率変数の独立積にあたるもの)についての合成、分解についての性質についての基本的な結果を得た。前者については一方が、slowly varying truncated moment をもち、他方がもたずにそれらのMS-convolution が slowly varying truncated moment をもつような分布が存在することを示した。これは R.A.Maller が与えていた conjecture に対する反例となっている。後者については、ふたつの分布のMS-convolution が正則変動する tail をもち、一方にモーメントに関する条件を仮定した場合、他方の tail が正則変動性をもつかという問題について考えた。結果は正則変動の指数が 0であるか負であるかによって異なり、指数0なら正しく、負ならば正しくない。ただし、指数が負の場合、正しくないことを示す具体例は現在の所、ある種の critical な条件を満たすものに限られており、そうしたものに限られることを余予想している。
