Research Abstract

ほぼ当初の計画を達成できたと考えている。具体的な研究成果を要約すると以下のようになる。
[1]分子膜界面のナノメットリック空間電荷分布に関する研究
(1)仕事関数の異なる金属上に機能性ポリイミドLB膜を層数を変えて作製し、膜間に発生する電位を計測し、金属から電極への電荷の移動に伴う過剰電子の存在を明らかにする事ができた。また、表面電位の飽和値と金属の仕事関数の間には直線関係があることを、各種ポリイミド材料に対して示す事ができた。(2)分子膜と電極界面のナノメットリックな領域(厚さ方向)の空間電荷分布を決定する手法を開発した。(3)表面電位の温度特性、光照射した後の特性についても、同様に界面空間電荷分布を求めることができた。
[2]分子膜界面のナノメットリックな領域の電子的エネルギー構造の決定に関する研究
(1)各種金属上にポリイミドLB膜を層数を変えて作製し、膜間に発生する電位を計測し、温度特性を利用して、分子膜と電極界面のナノメットリックな領域(厚さ方向)のエネルギー的な電子構造を評価する手法を確立し、分子膜界面のナノメットリックな領域(厚さ方向)のエネルギー的な電子構造を評価した。
[3]分子膜整流素子の試作
(1)界面の電子状態を考慮して、C-V特性についてのモデルにもとづいた解析を行い、ポリイミド30層膜では、界面から5層程度の領域で電荷の授受があれば容量変化として観測できるという解析結果を得た。また、2層の膜を移用して、電極間にサンドイッチされた膜構造を持つ素子の作製を行い、そのI-V,C-V特性の評価を試みた。
