Research Abstract

本研究の目的は、人の種々の特徴を通して感情を認識し、種々の形態の感情について手頃な体系を構築して、異なった文化の文脈で感情表現を研究することである。まず、種々の生理センサデータから、機械学習により人の感情を近似するモデルを構築した。その結果、単一の生理センサ、特に呼吸動作センサ、もしく血流量パルスセンサがあれば、元の特徴が著しく削減された場合にも、十分に正確な感情状態の近似が行える。この発見により、各センサの信頼性を他のセンサとの比較において評価できる。また、高価な感情検出装置を、比較的安価な生理センサで置き換えることも可能になり、一般的で有用な感情認識体系を得るための端緒が得られた。
さらに、種々の形態の情報からのアプローチにより、感情認識の実験を試みた。その結果によれば、表情と声による判断を組み合わせることにより、79%の精度で感情を認識することができた。最後に、頭と腕の姿勢データにより、姿勢と調和それぞれの検出結果に基づいて、一対の対話関係を自動的に予測することができることを実証した。機械学習の手法として、サポートベクタマシンを用いた場合の精度は、93%であった。その実験経過を調べたところ、日本人同士が対話した場合の関係ジェスチャが、フィリピン人同士のそれとは異なっていることが見出せた。日本人同士の方がはるかに動きは少なく、有用な結果が得られなかった。これは、実験者および被験者がどちらもフィリピン人であったことも影響しており、さらに、研究を進める予定である。
