Research Abstract

半導体表面の原子レベルでの構造制御ならびにダイナミクスの解明とこれによる新しい光機能界面の創製を目的に、昨年度に引き続き、研究を行った。半導体表面の原子レベル構造制御に関しては、水素終端Si表面のSi-H結合がハロゲン化水素酸中、少量の酸化剤の存在下でSi-X(X=ハロゲン)に変換されることを見出した。またp-Si(111)表面に光と酸素の作用を利用してSiH_2ステップを形成する方法を見出した。半導体表面上のナノ構造体の形成に関しては、水素終端n-Si(111)表面上に配列したヨウ素およびニッケル金属のナノロッドを形成できることを見出した。層状金属酸化物K_4Nb_6O_<17>の微粒子化・再構築という新しい手法により酸化還元系を層間に固定化することに成功した。量子サイズの磁性半導体Cd_<1-x>Mn_xS超微粒子の光電流に対する磁場効果を検討し、Mnのドープにより量子収率の変化率が大きく増加することを明らかにした。半導体薄膜の電気化学的エピタキシャル成長に関しては、ルチル型n-TiO_2(100)面上にPbO_2をヘテロエピタキシャル成長できることを見出した。CdS結晶成長について交互イオン吸着反応堆積法および新開発の電気化学誘起化学堆積法により検討し、(002)配向の単結晶膜を得た。電気、光などにより制御可能な新しいタイプの磁性材料の開発については、K_<3-0.4xy-2y>[(V^<Il>_<0.6>V^<III>_<0.4>)_xCr^<II>_<1-x>]_y[Cr^<III>(CN)_6]zH_2Oが透明・有色な磁性体(Tc=220-315K)となることを見出した。組成(合成法)を変えることにより色やTcを変化できることも明らかにし、ファラデー効果も検討した。半導体電極上のダイナミクスについては、偏光過渡回折格子分光法による光カーダイナミクスの解析、時間分解フェムト秒表面熱レンズ分光法による金薄膜電極のホットエレクトロンの挙動の解析を行った。また、レーザパルス光と光伝導性AFMを組み合わせた、量子ナノ空間を検出できる光電導性原子間力顕微鏡を開発した。
