Research Abstract |
1)Research surveys by questionnaires were made to find college professors', high school teachers', and high school students' views of college admissions procedures and to compare them. 2)Hearings from the staff of admissions office were made to collect Information about the reforms of college admissions procedures at Doshisha University, Rltsumeikan University and Ryukoku University in Kyoto as well as Kansei-gakuin University in Nishinomiya. 3)Study meetings by the participants in this joint study were held to discuss about the entrance examination by a short essay at College of Arts, Rikkyo University, Influences of college admissions procedures on high school education, college admissions procedures in the United States and so on. 4)Study on the history of admissions procedures at Rikkyo University was made paying attention to the entrance examination for public persons at College of Law and the entrance examination by a short essay at College of Arts, Rikkyo University. 5)In addition to the interim report entitled 'The Record of Stydy meetings, ' the final report was made including the following contents. I An Analysis of the Results of Research Surveys by Qustionnaires, by H.Oono. II A Report from he Hearings about the Characteristic Reforms of Admissions Procedures at the Four Universities, by M.Kato. III College Admissions Procedures in the United States, by John T.Dorsey. IV A Short History of Admissions Procedures at Rikkyo University, by S.Fujita, S.Nunomura and H.Oshima
