Research Abstract

1.高CO_2・温暖化環境に対する水稲の生育・収量反応の予測モデル
過去7年間にわたって行われた温度傾斜型CO_2濃度制御温室(TGC)での水稲栽培データおよび個葉光合成データをもとに高CO_2・温暖化環境に適用可能な水稲の生育・収量反応の予測モデルを開発した。個葉光合成に及ぼす温度とCO_2濃度の相互作用を取り入れた光合成モデルから日射-乾物変換効率の温度・CO_2濃度反応をモデル化し、それを水稲の生育・シミュレーションモデルに組み込んだ。モデル・シミュレーションから乾物生産・収量レベルに及ぼす温度とCO_2濃度の相互作用は比較的小さいことが示唆された。また、モデルの環境条件に対する感度解析から、高温不稔過程が温暖化環境のもとで重要な収量制限要因となることが予測された。
2.イネの高温不稔発生メカニズムの解明
イネの高温不稔は葯の不裂開と関係しているが、それは主として開花日の高温による花粉の膨張能力の低下によることが明らかにされた。また、開花日直前の高温は、葯の裂開機能を低下させることによって高温不稔を助長した。
3.高CO_2・温暖化環境に対するオオムギの生育・収量反応の予測モデル
2年間にわたるTGCを用いた二条オオムギの栽培試験と過去に行われた現在の気候条件のもとでの栽培試験、および作物統計のデータをもとに高CO_2・温暖化環境のもとで二条オオムギの生育・収量をシミュレートするモデルを開発した。モデルを用いて北関東2県、九州2県の二条オオムギ収量の年次変動をシミュレートしたところ、湿害などの気象災害が顕著であった年を除けば、年次変動をかなりよく説明することが可能であった。また、地域による最適播種期がモデル・シミュレーションで再現された。
