1. It is anticipated that resonance phenomena in electron-capture processes occur at higher collision energies as the charge of projectile ions and the dipole polarizability of targets become large. The cross sections of electron capture by highly-charged ions of Be, B, C, N, and O atoms from H, HィイD22ィエD2, and He targets were calculated. Resonances appeared at E ≦ 0.01 and ≦ 0.015 eV/amu in the (BeィイD13+ィエD1 + H) and (NィイD15+ィエD1 + H) systems, respectively. 2. Electronic-excited atoms have large dipole polarizability, so we calculated cross sections for electron capture processes from the electronic-excited targets. The results showed that the electronic-excited targets were not appropriate for the measurement of resonance because of the repulsion between its and other potential energy curves and because of undesirable transitions at many potential crossing points. 3. Alkali metal atoms have large dipole polarizability, so we calculated the cross sections for electron capture processes by BeィイD1q+ィエD1 and BィイD1q+ィエD1 ions (q = 2, 3) from alkali metal targets. In the (BeィイD12+ィエD1 + Li) system, resonance occurred at E ≦ 0.06 eV. So, for the systems of (highly-charged ions of He, Be, B, C, N, O + alkali metal atoms), the calculations of the cross section were continued. In the case of (HeィイD12+ィエD1 + Na) system, resonance appeared at E ≦ 0.3 eV. 4. In order to make clear the mechanism of resonance phenomena, some codes based on wave-packet were developed. The quantum-mechanical multi-channel time-dependent close-coupling method was applied to (NィイD15+ィエD1 + H) collision system. The formation of quasi-bound molecule, which stays at rovibrational state with long lifetime (0.5 psec - 20 psec), could be confirmed.
