Research Abstract |
The final purpose of our research is a development of a soft-switched AC[DC converter which has a simple construction, high efficiency and low cost. In this research, we have been planning to clear up the following problems : 1. Development of a development of soft-switched AC/DC converters which has a simple construction, high efficiency without electric pollution, and its experiment. 2. Establishment of the design method of the soft-switched AC/DC converters. First term (1997) : First, not to generate the electric pollution, we developed a novel soft-switched AC/DC converter by using only one capacitor. Next, we have obtained the basic operating principle and characteristics such as the power and distortion factor, output voltage and its ripple ratio by the experiment. urthermore, we have developed a inductor commutation soft-switched bridge type DC/DC converter This converter has the functions of smaller noise and higher efficiency. Final term (1998) : We have obtained the design method guide for the soft-switched boost type AC/DC converter by performing the analysis for that. By the guide equation we can get the power and distortion factor, output voltage and its ripple ratio. Next these results are verified by the experiments. Above work has been presented at the meeting hold by IEEJ and accepted by the journal of IEEJ (will be appeared in May). Furthermore, this work will be presented at the IEEE Power Electronics Specialist Conference of USA hold on June. We will investigate the analysis method for other type soft-switched AC/DC converter applied our method and try to the application of the inductor commutation bridge type DC/DC converter into the AC/DC converter.
