Research Abstract |
At the start of this research, we considered the theoretical framework of self- organization and we applied it to the problem of agricultural cooperatives. Next, by investigating the suitable appliance to agricultural cooperatives, the self-organization (or self- reference) in this framework as it ought to be was pursued. After practically analysing the business of agricultural cooperatives with this self-organization theory, several results were made clear. First, in the financial business of cooperatives, we investigated the user behavior and indicated the key point in their future business. It is whether agri. cooperatives are able to supply diversified financial products by grasping the various needs of members. Second, in their marketing and purchasing business, the logistic problem of agricultural input materials is analysed which is strongly required for rationalization. Last, about the direction of the wide area consolidated cooperatives, we executed not only the national situation research but also the Mie prefectural case study. And the realizing possibility of self-reference by cooperative workers or members were examined. In conclusion, we pointed out the most important objective in the present reorganization. It should be the true change to rightful cooperatives based oneself- dependency and self-responsibility by the members.
