Research Abstract |
In the present study, I have investigated the ultrastructural localization of TGFb, plasminogen activator(PA) and pasminogen(Pn) in granulation tissue. Angiogenesis is a prominent feature of granulation tissue and is largely composed of an abundance of immature capillaries. A number of endothleial cell-pericyte interdigitation(EPI) are observed in immature capillaries in granulation tissue. In this study, TGFb, PA, and Pn immunoreactivities were colocalized selectively at a large number of the EPI in the newly formed capillaries. The present study opens several new directions for the study concerning angiogenesis in situ, especially the heterotypic cell-to-cell interaction(EPI) with angiogenic process.
