Research Abstract |
The Origin of airway secretion are thought to be composed of seromucous glands, goblet cells, transudation from capillaries secretions and cell debris from leucocytes. We demonstrated that the chloride conductance of tracheal ciliated epithelial cells excised from guinea pigs increases after administration of β-adrenergic, cholinergic and purinergic stimulants based on the patch clamp technique for the first time. We concluded that the pericilliary layers with low viscosity in which cilia beat is possibility formed partly by the ciliated epithelial cell itself.
