Research Abstract |
The possibility of direct pulp capping of infected dental pulp with resin bonding material which added antibacterial agents (vancomycin, metronidazol, HY-agent) was examined. The effect of application of high oxidation potential water, used as a disinfectant instead of the chemical surgery, on bond strength to dentin was examined. The following were obtained : By only treatment of high oxidation potential water, the good adhesion was not obtained to dentin. The good adhesion was obtained by appropriate combination of processing time and method of processing of 10-3 treatment (10% citric acid and 3% FeCl_2) and high oxidation potential water. In the vital pulp of maxilla posterior tooth of the Wistar rat, which contaminated with A.naeslundii, the pulp reaction capped with resin bonding agent which added antibacterial agents (2% vancomycin) was histopathologically examined. Though some of these examples recognized abscess formation, when bonding material added no antibacterial agent was used, abscess formation could not be recognized, when bonding material added antibacterial agent was used. In present experiment, the effect of using high oxidation potential water jointly could not be accepted.
