Research Abstract |
It is crucial to grasp the learning process in discussing the educational use of computers. This study investigated the process of information use of an individual student, from the view point of educational technology. The purpose of the study is to clarify how the individual student recognizes the situation and processes strategies both in using a word-processor and in programming. The data of using the word-processor was gathered when the student input and corrected sentences as well as monitored the other student's inputting sentences. On the other hand, programming data was collected when the student wrote and corrected the program as well as monitored other student's program. In both cases how the student recognized situations and what kind of information processing strategies he/she used were investigated.
