Research Abstract

平成10年度は昨年度に調製した有機シリル基とアミノ基を交互に主鎖に有するポリサイラミンを主成分にしたハイドロゲルの調製及びその信号応答特性に関して以下のように検討した。
i) ポリサイラミンハイドロゲルの調製:両末端にアミノ基を有するポリサイラミンを調製し、塩化アクリロイルを用いて両末端に反応性ビニル基を導入した。さらに4官能性メルカプタンと光ラジカル発生剤を混合し、光架橋を行った。
ii) 得られたハイドロゲルのpH及び温度に対する体積相転位挙動に関して検討するとともに、相転位前後の弾性率を測定した。この結果、通常のハイドロゲルが膨潤すると柔らかくなるのに対し、ポリサイラミンゲルはアミノ基のプロトン化に伴い膨潤するとともに堅くなる、ゴム弾性転移を示すことが確認された。実際、相転位の前後で不連続的に弾性率が一桁以上変化することが認められた。これは、ポリサイラミン鎖のプロトン化に伴う主鎖の回転束縛に起因し、高含水状態に置いてさえ、ハイドロゲルの弾性率が上昇する初めての例として評価される。
