Research Abstract |
I.RESEARCHES ON TARO (1) PHYLOGENETIC RESEARCHES BY ISOZYME ANALYSES : 46 ALLELES WERE DETECTED AT 21 LOCI OF 13 ENZYME SYSTEMS.THE IMPORTANCE OF SOUTHWEST CHINA WAS REVEALED ON THE DISPERSAL OF TARO IN EAST ASIA. (2) PHYLOGENETIC RESEARCHES BY CHLOROPLAST DNA ANALYSES : PHYLOGENETIC TREES OF TARO BY RELP, RAPD AND PCR BASICALLY COINCIDED WITH THOSE BY MORPHOLOGICAL TAXONOMY, BUT THE CLOSE PHYLOGENETIC RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN COLOCASIA AND ALOCASIA WERE SUGGESTED. (3) ANALYSIS OF NATURAL AND ARTIFICIAL INTER-GENERIC HYBRIDS BETWEEN GENERA COLOCASIA AND ALOCASIA : AN ARTIFICIAL INTER-GENERIC HYBRID WAS MADE BY CROSSING, WHICH WAS A TRIPLOID PRODUCED BY THE FERTILIZATION OF AN UNREDUCED FEMALE GAMETE. (4) ON THE PROGENIES OF THE HYBRID BETWEEN WILD- AND CULTIVATED- TYPE OF TARO : THE HETEROGENEITY OF WILD- AND CULTIVATED- TYPE OF TARO WAS SHOWN BY THE SEGREGATION OF ISOZYMES AND THE MORPHOLOGICAL CHARACTERERS OF UNDERGROUND PART AND COLORING OF LEAF AND STALK. II.RESEARCHES ON WHEAT (1) GRWTH HABIT AND VRNGENOTYPE : DISTRIBUTION OF GENES CONTROLING SPRING TYPE AND WINTER TYPE WAS REVEALED AND SHOWED THE ORIGIN OF JAPANESE VRN3 GENE. (2) ADAPTATION AND DIFFERENTIATION - ANALYSES BY RAPD AND CAPS : RAPD ANALYSIS SHOWED GENETIC DIFFERENTIATION OF WHEAT BETWEEN NORTHWEST AND SOUTHEAST CHINA, AND CAPS ANALYSIS EXPLAINED THE DISTRIBUTION OF EMGENE. (3) ISOZYME ANALYSES : STRAINS IN SOUTHWEST CHINA WERE REVEALED TO BE GENETICALLY DISTANT FROM THOSE IN OTHER AREAS, AND IT WAS SUGGESTED THAT THE DISPERSAL OF WHEAT FROM WEST TO JAPAN VIA TWO ROUTS.
