Research Abstract

今年度の研究活動は、冬期の成層圏に発生する突然昇温現象に伴う電離圏・熱圏の変動に関して、衛星と地上観測に基づいて興味深い解析結果を出しております。特に、アジア地域で、突然昇温期間中に、電離圏の電子密度が半日周期の擾乱を見出しました。それと同時に、熱圏が低緯度で降温する事も初めて分かりました。さらに、大規模計算機シミュレーションと衛星観測データの解析を組み合わせた低緯度電離圏における電離大気・中性大気の相互作用を研究しました.衛星観測データから超高層大気における中性大気(電気的に中性の気体分子や原子)と電離大気(弱電離したプラズマ)との相互作用の多様な側面をあぶりだしてきた。まず、中緯度電離圏には、夏電子密度異常という現象の解明をした。中性風は、大きな影響があることがわかりました。そして、この現象は、地磁気活動の高い依存性があることもわかりました。特に、地磁気活動高いとき、夏電子密度異常は、弱くなるのが、特徴です。赤道ジェットという現象も、TIME-GCMとGAIA二つのモデルを使って調べました。緯度方向のドラグが大きな役割を果たしていることがわかりました。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

冬期の成層圏に発生する突然昇温現象伴う電離圏・熱圏の変動を統計的に研究する予定です.
