Research Abstract |
1) Temperature sensitive chlorophyll mutant : Although we tried to isolate this gene using SABRE method, we could not isolate causing gene. Therefore, we did mapping using CAPS marker, to isolate this gene effectively. From this result, it is clarified that the causing gene exists the long arm side of number 1 chromosome. We will arrange to make fine mapping. 2) Mutant to be concerned th growth, development and morphogenesis of rice root : We observed the gene expression of the short root mutant (BRX180). this mutant is inhibited the root elongation by mechanical stimulus. We observe the gene expression compared with original variety. this root shortness was thought that the cell division severely inhibited but not cell elongation. It was thought that this mutant was the effectve material to study separately the cell division and elongation. 3) Constitutive gibberellin response mutant {slender rice (slr1)} : Slemder rice was recognized the constitutive gibberellin response mutant as the GA signal transduction system was constitutively "ON". Using this mutant, it is very useful material to clarify the system of signal transduction mediated gibberellin. 4) Development of effective mapping method used FISH method : It was foud that the analysis of the function isolated gene and its mutant was to possible. To detect simply mutated gene and intra-nuclear control of gene expressions were intended to study.
