Research Abstract |
1. Real Time Disaster Information Network System (1) Web pages are convenient to gather information and spread it out quickly. In the present project, the web pages were opened in order to provide several kinds of disaster information simultaneously. It made everyone possible to refer information whenever one wants to learn something about current and past natural disaster. The web pages also include the database of natural disaster collected by the natural disaster prevention research group in Japan during the last several decades. (2) The dissemination of information during disaster was simulated. As a result, it was clarified that the time lag of information, the load of information process and the concentration degree of information path at each organization units significantly influence the disaster prevention activity. 2. Collaboration of disaster prevention research The collaboration between researchers in several regional blocks is one of important keys to improve the disaster prevention research. In the present project, the collaboration method to conduct more effective and comprehensive research on disaster prevention was discussed. To contribute its discussion, researchers in each regional block in Japan collected and exchanged disaster information each other in consideration of regional characteristics of background conditions.
