Research Abstract

For improvement of quality of cloth from cellulsic substances such as cotton, cellulases were applied to weight reducing tretment. However, tretment of cloth by cellulase often caused decrease of strengh. To avoid this phenomenon, we modified cellulases chemically with polymers. As the results, molecular weight of cellulase increased. The decrease of strength of fiber was relatively protected, when modified cellulase (high mol wt.cellulase) was used. Enzyme treatment on fiber did not affect color staining.
