Research Abstract |
In the study, the investigators have recognized mountainous regions as those where there are possibilities for the development, and treated many kinds of subject matters. As the result, the following points have become clear. (1)In the mountainous regions where there are not sufficient job opportunities, it is a fundamental policy for the regions to develop based on their own resources and abilities, and it is important to organize supporting systems for the development. (2)The examination of the existing rural and agricultural regulations is necessary in order that the third companies are able to play an active part of the development. (3)Fuzzy planning models are useful to analyze farm management and characteristics of location of facilities to process farm products. (4)The effective utilization of farmland and farm labors is important to increase farm income in the mountainous regions. (5)The difference of crops planted on paddy fields in place of rice in the mountainous regions compared with in plain regions is based on the difference of conditions on parcels of farmland. In addition to these points, the investigators have gotten many other views.
