Research Abstract |
Exercise is necessary to maintain good health. We have invented a portable apparatus in order to indicate the appropriate amount of exercise based on the training heart rate. The training heart rate will be calculated from the equation of Karvonen. This training heart rate can be recorded to CF card and analyzed by using personal computer. The usage of the apparatus will be descried as follows ; Attach the electrocardiogram to the breast of examinee. Input his age, his training ratio, and time. Training ratio will explain how hard the examinee want to exercise, and will be expressed in percentage. Time, here, means for how long he want to exercise. Switch the ENT on, then the examinee starts exercising.. Following three different sounds of buzz refer to the amount of exercises he is taking. 1Hz buzz sound represents for the appropriate amount of exercise. 0.5 Hz buzz appeals that he had taken exercises excessively over the appropriate amount. And 2 Hz buzz means that he had not taken enough amount of exercise. We have tried a few basic experiment of this apparatus for this presentation. Moreover, on 08 February 2000, we applied for a patent on this apparatus.
