Research Abstract |
The purpose of the study is to fabricate automatically a product with three-dimensional shape by using incremental forming. 1. Automatic generation of tool-pass for three-dimensional incremental forming by personal computer A tool-pass for incremental forming in necessary to fabricate three-dimensional shape product. The program that can automatically create tool-pass was developed by personal computer. The out-put data of tool-pass for numerical control machine is generated automatically. 2. Automatic fabrication of three-dimensional product of thin metal slab by incremental forming The tool-pass is transferred to the machining center by personal computer. Giving incremental motion pass of the tool controlled by numerical control forms the there-dimensional shape. Incremental stretch forming is put into practice, in which the simplified dies for fixing a part of the work is constructed. Using of simplified dies makes it possible to protect the defection deformation and also to promote accuracy of dimensional shape. The results show that the three-dimensional shape product with accurate dimensional shape is formed. And the incremental forming with simplified dies is developed to the incremental forming with layered dies in which the more complicated shape is generated. And also the three dimensional incremental deep drawing is developed as an incremental forming by using simplified dies.
