THE OBJECT OF THIS RESEARCH WAS TO CLARIFY WHAT SORT OFREASONS THE SENIOR CITIZEN KEPTS RESIDING IN MOUNTAIN, HILL AREAS (THE DEPOPULATION REGION) BY USING THE QUESTIONNAIRE SURVEY.FOR THAT PURPOSE SIX PLACES OF MOUNTAIN, HILL AREAS WERE SELECTED FOR THE THREE RESEARCHING YEARS.358 PEOPLE OF ALLTOGETHER 600 PEOPLE ANSWERD TO THE QUESTIONS AND THE RATIO WAS 59.60%. THE RESULT SHOWS THAT THE REASON WHY THE SENIOR CITIZEN LIVES IN MOUNTAIN, HILL AREAS (THE DEPOPULATION REGION) IS BECAUSE OF THE ELDEST SON OR DAUGHTER.THEY LIVE THERE NOT FOR POSITIVELY SELECTING REASONS.THESE ARE THE PLACES FOR HIM AND HER WHERE BORN AND GREW UP.THEY HAVE THERE THE FEELINGS LIKE "THE INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIP IS GOOD" , "AIR IS GOOD" , "CALMLY IS GOOD" , "THERE ARE A LOT OF GREENS" , AND "THE SCENERY IS GOOD" IN MOUNTAIN, HILL AREAS (THE DEPOPULATION REGION). ON THE OTHER HAND, "THE HOSPITAL (MEDICAL TREATMENT ORGANIZATION) SHOULD BE NEAR" AND "SHOPPING SHOULD CONVENIENT" ARE ESPECIALY BEING ASPIRED AFTER BY THE SENIOR CITIZEN.
