Clinical diagnosis is mainly based on the local findings in otolaryngology, head and neck surgery, it is thought that telemedicine may be usefull in otolaryngology, head and neck surgery. Then teleconference between Yokohama city university, school of medecine and Yokohama city university, medical center was performed by the TV conference system(H.320, FENIX.Ver.1.5, ISDN(128 Kbits/s)).
The result indicated that the TV conference system was suggested to contribute to good communication between two hospitals, but there were many problems about the quality of the transmitted images, the use of high quality TV conference system was thought to be essential in the near future.
