Research Abstract |
To improve the quality of clinical care and to promote the continued education for nurses in their professions, this study was conducted to develop a learning system for a long-term master's course in nursing. The details of this study are follows : Chapter 1.The present state and subjects of continued education for nurses in Japan -Significance of the development of curriculums for a long-term master's course in nursing -1. The present state and subjects of a continued education for nurses in Japan : 2. Historical changes and the present state of master's courses in nursing in the United States : 3. Significance of the development of curriculums for a long-term master's course in nursing in Japan. Chapter2. Learning needs for a long-term master's course in nursing 1. Ordinary nurses' needs for a continued education and their learning needs for a long-term master's course in nursing : 2. Learning needs for a continued education in nurses studied and trained at the Center for Education and Research in Nursing Practice, the School of Nursing, Chiba University, and their learning needs for a long-term master's course in nursing. Chapter 3.Occupational characteristics of clinical nurses in Japan -Clinical ability and awareness of professional roles- 1.
