Research Abstract

This research examined the effects of multimedia teaching materials on calculation learning of children with motor disabilities. First, computer system with switches for children with motor disabilities was prepared. By using this system, multimedia teaching materials for arithmetic education were evaluated from the viewpoint of usefulness in learning of children with motor disabilities, and examined what kind of consideration should be done in multimedia teaching materials for children with motor disabilities. Based on the examination, teaching materials for children with motor disabilities were made, and the multimedia teaching materials were used in calculation learning of children with motor disabilities who had difficulty in arithmetic. The learning processes of these children were analyzed and the effects of the multimedia teaching materials in calculation learning of children with motor disabilities were discussed.
