Research Abstract

ヒト造血前駆細胞(CD34陽性S CD34^+)上のIL-6受容体(IL-6R)の発現に着目し、臍帯血あるいは末梢血中のCD34^+IL-6R^+およびCD34^+IL-6R^-分画をセルソーターにて分取し、それぞれの分画に含まれる未分化造血幹細胞をin vitroの9週間に及ぶ長期培養にて固定したところ、末梢血ではCD34^+IL-6R^-分画に明らかにそれが濃縮されるものの、臍帯血においてはCD34^+IL-6R^<+/->両分画に存在することが明らかになった。また、これらの事実を裏づけるものとして、テロメラーゼ活性はTRAP法で測定した結果、培養系で観察されたことと同じく、臍帯血においてはCD34^+IL-6R^<+/->両分画間で明らかな差を認めなかった。このことから、IL-6Rの発現はその分化度のみならず、機能的な側面からも、末梢血と臍帯血では、その意義が異なることが示唆された。
