Research Abstract

本研究の目的は、沖縄で語られている植民地台湾の記憶と、沖縄地上戦の記憶、さらに戦後の米軍占領と今日まで継続する米軍駐留をめぐる政治、社会運動、文化状況との相関関係を明らかにすることである。
今年度は、5月と12月に台湾にそれぞれ約1週間ずつ滞在し、中央研究院や国立台湾大学などで資料調査を実施した。また研究関心を共有する研究者と面会して助言をもらうことができた。また年度末の3月には米国サンディエゴで開催されたアジア研究学会で研究報告を行った。また研究者だけが集う国内の研究会だけでなく、一般市民向けの会合(「沖縄クラブ」)で自分の研究の成果を還元できたのは有意義だった。
研究の成果は国際的に高い評価を得ている学術雑誌(査読有り)のCultural StudiesとInter-Asia Cultural Studies上で学術論文というかたちで発表した。また年度内に出版できなかったが、本科学研究費で実施した研究の成果は平成25年度に3冊の共著書(和文)上で発表されることが決定している。さらに年度中に執筆した和文の学術論文が平成25年5月現在、査読審査中で、審査を通過すれば8月頃に出版される予定である。
以上のように、平成24年度は前半はおおむね順調に調査と執筆活動を行うことができたが、後半は就職活動のために精神的にも時間的にも消耗してしまい、当初計画していたほどには研究を進めることができなかったことを残念に思っている。
