Research Abstract

昨年度に引き続き、強いスピン軌道相互作用のはたらく量子ドットに関する研究を行いった。量子ドット中の離散準位を介した共鳴トンネルによるスピン偏極電流の生成を「外因性スピンホール効果」として議論できることを明らかにした。本研究により、半導体ナノ構造での「共鳴現象によるスピンホール効果の増大」を共通の物理として理解できることを示した。また、半導体ナノ構造でのスピン偏極電流の生成は新奇のスピントロニクスデバイスへの応用が期待される。本研究は学術論文として発表した。
本年度では、スピン軌道相互作用の知見を活かし、ジョセフソン接合の研究を行った。擬1次元的な半導体ナノワイヤを用いたジョセフソン接合を考え、スピン軌道相互作用による特異な超伝導電流を調べた。この系では、常伝導領域に電子とホールがコヒーレントに結合したアンドレーエフ束縛状態が形成される。超伝導体間に位相差があるとき、この束縛状態を介して超伝導電流が流れる。ナノワイヤが短く、伝導チャンネルが少数の場合に、アンドレーエフ束縛状態と超伝導電流におけるスピン軌道相互作用の効果を明らかにした。ナノワイヤに平行な磁場を考える。磁場によって時間反転対称性が破れている場合、スピン軌道相互作とゼーマン効果によって、超伝導体間に位相差がないときでも超伝導電流が流れる異常ジョセフソン効果が誘起されることを示した。また、超伝導電流の最大値である臨界電流が電流方向依存性を示すことを明らかにした。これはデルフト工科大学の実験グループによるInSbナノワイヤを用いた最近の実験結果を定性的に説明する。本研究は学術論文として発表した。
