Research Abstract

本研究班では効率的な放射光利用のために回折データ収集の自動化をおよび構造解析の迅速化を達成することを目的とした。
これまでに本研究領域予算により、ADSC社のQuantum4R CCD検出器システムを導入し、回折データ測定の自動化をほぼ達成した。また昨年度導入した高速演算処理装置(Linux計算機)及び、回折イメージ処理ソフトウエア・構造解析用ソフトウエアは、すでに多数のユーザーにより使用されている。本システムを用いてビームタイム中に構造解析を達成するユーザー数は確実に増えてきている。
本年度は回折データ収集のデータストレージ環境、ネットワーク環境の改善を行った。実際には、高速アクセス可能なレイドディスクを実験ステーションに導入し、回折および処理データの冗長保存、および、高速アクセスを可能とした。またステーションの通信をギガビット化して、データ収集保存/画像処理/データバックアップの安定性、高速性を確保した。
また、本研究班で導入した測定システムを用いた実験のデータにより、本研究班員が参加する「細胞内輸送に関係する蛋白質複合体」の構造解析に成功し、輸送の初期段階の分子認識に重要な蛋白質の分子認識機構を明らかにした。これは本研究班で導入したシステムの有効性を示すものである。
