Research Abstract

これまでに蓄積されてきている強震動予測手法にもとづいて,震源モデルの高精度化を目指した実記録に基づぐ震源過程の推定と,国内外の被害地震をターゲットとした強震動評価を実際に行い,その方法の妥当性を検証している.
巨大内陸地殻内地震であった2002年デナリ地震(Mw7.9)の震源インバージョシを行い,アスペリティ領域のスケーリング則を確認し,長大横ズレ断層の震源モデルにはLモデルが妥当と考えられる結果を得た.
長周期から短周期に向かって決定論的な取り扱いから統計的な取り扱いに従う地震波の特徴を考慮した周期領域での震源インバージョン手法を構築し,アスペリティモデルの高精度化に資する震源のモデル化を行った.
スラブ内地震である2002年芸予地震(Mw=6.8)の詳細な震源過程を推定し,スラブ内地震における震源モデル化についての知見を得た.
大阪堆積盆地内の減衰構造を,中規模地震記録とシミュレーションの比較により推定し,堆積層の適切なQ値を得た.この情報をもとに,想定東南海地震,南海地震時の大阪盆地での長周期地震動特性を差分法によってモデル化し,巨大地震発生時の大阪での地震応答特性を推定した.また,震源シナリオの違いにより,同一地点でも異なる特徴を持つ揺れが起きることを実証した.
2003年12月米国地球物理学連合秋季大会において,米国共同研究者とともに強震動予測に関する特別セッションを企画し,最新の研究成果の情報交換を行った.
これらの知見,及び5年間に渡る研究成果を冊子報告としててまとめた.
